1. What do I need to know about cookies?

A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. We use them to remember your preferences and tailor our website to your interests.

There are different types of cookies:

Session cookies: These are temporary cookies that expire (and are automatically erased) whenever you close your browser.

Persistent cookies: These usually have an expiration date far into the future and thus stay in your browser until they expire, or until you manually delete them.

Cookies can also be:

First party cookies: These are set by the website you are visiting (in this case, Peris Ruiz Consulting S. L.’s website, hereafter LEADERBROCK). Only that website can read them.  In addition, a website might use a separate company to analyse how people are using their site. And this separate company will set their own cookie to do this.

Third party cookies: These are set by someone other than the owner of the website you’re visiting.

2. How does LEADERBROCK use cookies?

We use different types of cookies for different things, such as analysing how you use our website and giving you a better, more personalised experience.

First party cookies: These are strictly necessary cookies. They let you use all the different parts of our website. Without them services that you have asked for cannot be provided.

Analytics cookies: These help us understand how people are using our website, so we can make it better. And they let us try out different ideas. Some examples of how we use these cookies are:

  • To collect information about which web pages visitors go to most often so we can improve the online experience.
  • Error management to make sure that the website is working properly.
  • Testing designs to help improve the look and feel of the website.

Add-on cookies: these are used by external add-ons installed on the website for its proper functioning, such as playing the videos.

Social media cookies: These cookies enable users, if they wish, to login to their accounts on social media sites such as Twitter or Facebook and share content from our websites with their friends. These cookies do not allow us access to your accounts or provide us with any confidential information relating to any of your accounts.

3. Which cookies are used by LEADERBROCK?

Google analytics: This is a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. Google Analytics sets cookies in order to provide statistics and basic analytical tools for search engine optimization (SEO) and marketing purposes. These cookies collect anonymous information about how visitors use our website. For example how many visitors came to our website and when, what browsers visitors use and how long visitors stay on the site. Google can use this data to improve its own services, to offer services to other companies and to show you advertising based on your browsing history. These cookies have a persistent duration and are necessary for the proper functioning of Google’s add-ons.

Leaderbrock’s first party cookies: These are technical and security cookies essential for the proper functioning of the website. There are both session and persistent cookies. For example, they remember if you visited the website before so that messages for new visitors are not displayed to you and they also remember settings applied to the website such as colour, font size and layout.

4. How to manage cookies:

All the data contained in the cookies that we use is completely anonymous and doesn’t contain any PII. This data lets LEADERBROCK to remember your preferences and tailor our sites to your interests.

If you nevertheless want to restrict, block or disable cookies, you can do so by changing your browser settings.

You can prevent your browsing from being tracked generally by adjusting your browser settings, browsing in ‘private mode’ or using browser add-ons. You can find out how to do this by visiting the relevant support page for your browser, or by using the help function on your browser:

On the other hand, if you wish to block Google’s analytics cookies, you can install an add-on in your browser following the instructions indicated in this link: Opt-out of Google Analytics cookies
